Spring signs and a hike

The girls are on Spring Break, so they are off to see Grandpa and Grandma Morris in Virginia.  The house and neighborhood are very quiet.  Warm temperatures are back, and more signs of spring have arrived. 


We've driven past the parking area for this trail for the past 6 years, so I thought I'd take a look.

It was odd, a rocky climb, then a long grassy ridgeline.  The grass was about 100 yards wide
 
The ridge ran atop cliffs, probably 200 - 300 feet high

The view was of I-91 and a mine that is removing a small mountain.  Not overly inspiring.  I had a good short walk and now know what's at the parking lot.
