Thanksgiving in Niagara Falls, Canada

For Thanksgiving we decided to take a road trip to the Canadian side of Niagara Falls.  None of the girls could remember having been there in the past.  The festival of lights is always fun to see, and we also did some things we've never done before, like the Butterfly Conservatory and the tunnels behind the falls.  It was a fun and wonderful time.

Our Elf on the Shelf, Elfie, made his return Thanksgiving Day.  Lauren loves this little elf and took his picture many times.

Oh yes, the highlight of many trips, the hotel pool!

Elfie wanting some Outback and enjoying the sleigh Lauren designed and built for him

Butterfly Conservatory - it was 80 degrees and there were thousands of butterflies

These stayed in the gift shop.  She's a cute 'fly

On to the Falls

We were treated with some very pretty rainbows

Tunnel behind the horseshoe falls.  The left wall is breaking away and will be claimed by the falls.  Yes, it's a sheet of white water.  The sound is impressive.

Prior to the trip behind the falls we watched the 4D movie "Niagara's Fury," which is where we got the flashy raingear.  The movie was a worthwhile experience with some good water and storm effects.
