For Grandpa (Bill) Morris's 70th birthday we went to Six Flags Great Adventure in New Jersey and stayed overnight in Princeton.
Here is everyone eagerly awaiting a sea lion show.
Ashley and Lauren riding horses in Bugs Bunny National Park
Lauren, Sarah, and Dad on the Runaway Mine Train.
Celebrating Grandpa's and Lauren's birthday with gourmet cupcakes - delicious!
Ashley waiting for her sisters under a flowering tree
El Toro - the largest drop (176 feet), fastest (70mph) wooden roller coaster IN THE WORLD! This was the biggest ride Sarah was able to ride at Six Flags and IT WAS AWESOME. Sarah, Grandpa, and Dad did it twice in a row.
Ashley and Lauren with Dad on the Teacups - slightly less thrilling but no less fun :)
Mom, Ashley, and Sarah ride the Jolly Roger
To make Grandpa's birthday a true adventure and to show that George Bush Sr has nothing on Bill, he rode Kingda Ka. It is the world's tallest (456 feet) and second fastest (128mph in 3.5 seconds)! As you can see, it's a bit difficult to keep your eyes open at 128mph. The ascent and descent are vertical, and at the top of the camel hump you're weightless. Happy Birthday Bill!! It was a BLAST.

Dad took Sarah vertical as well on the Sky Screamer - 240 feet high on spinning swings. Very nice views.
This trip was the first for us in our new-to-us 2009 Prius. It averaged an impressive 51mpg for the trip and proved quite comfortable, as shown by the post-Six Flags shots of the girls!
